Radar Level Meter Monitoring in a 25m Sand and Gravel Silo [Dayu Electronics]

　　I. Project Background

　　With the booming development of the construction industry, sand and gravel aggregate, as an important raw material for infrastructure, is in increasing demand. To improve production efficiency and ensure storage safety, a large-scale sand and gravel aggregate production enterprise decided to monitor the level in a silo with a diameter of about 25 meters. Given the superior performance of the radar level meter, the enterprise chose this technology for real-time material level monitoring.

　　II. Project Requirements

　　Real-time monitoring of the sand and gravel aggregate level height in the silo to ensure storage safety and production continuity; the equipment needs to have high measurement accuracy and stability to adapt to complex production environments; the equipment should be easy to install and maintain to reduce operating costs.

　　III. Solution

　　In response to the above requirements, we recommended the radar level meter, which has the following features:

　　Measurement accuracy up to ±1 cm, ensuring accurate level data;

　　Non-contact measurement, unaffected by material properties, temperature, pressure, etc.;

　　Withstands high temperatures up to 200°C, corrosion-resistant and explosion-proof;

　　IP68 protection rating, suitable for harsh industrial environments;

　　Easy installation without entering the silo, reducing installation and maintenance risks.

　　IV. Application Results

　　Real-time monitoring: The radar level meter successfully achieved real-time monitoring of the sand and gravel aggregate level in the silo;
