Shenyang Wastewater Treatment Plant Selects Our 12m Range Ultrasonic Level Meter
Over the course of instrument development, various types of level gauges have emerged, including glass plate level gauges based on the communicating vessels principle, magnetic flap level gauges using magnetic coupling with magnetic floats; level transmitters that measure liquid level through differential pressure, and ultrasonic level meters based on the principle of ultrasonic reflection. This article introduces the selection of level meters in the wastewater treatment industry, taking into account the process design of wastewater treatment plants and their actual requirements.
Recently, in order to monitor wastewater treatment, the Shenyang Wastewater Treatment Plant selected our 12m range ultrasonic level meter. Dayu Electronics' ultrasonic level meter (for level and bulk solid measurement) features bilingual display in Chinese and English with free switching, a user-friendly interface, and can be installed and operated by ordinary technical workers. It is a non-contact, highly reliable, cost-effective level measurement instrument that is easy to install and maintain. It can meet most level measurement requirements without contacting the medium, and is a new generation ultrasonic level meter developed by our company through years of effort with independent intellectual property rights.
The Shenyang Wastewater Treatment Plant mainly treats paper mill deinking wastewater (high-concentration DIP wastewater), papermaking wastewater, and other production wastewater. The high-concentration DIP wastewater first undergoes anaerobic treatment, then enters the SBR aerobic biological treatment system together with papermaking wastewater and other production wastewater, followed by tertiary chemical treatment before discharge. The excess sludge generated during treatment is thickened in a thickening tank and then sent to the sludge dewatering unit for dewatering and off-site disposal. Level meters account for a large proportion of wastewater treatment applications and are used in almost every stage of the wastewater treatment process. In wastewater treatment, it is necessary to measure the level of wastewater, sludge, chemical solutions, and other media. In automated wastewater treatment systems, level meters are not only used for level measurement but are also involved in automatic control, such as interlocking pump start/stop and the opening and closing of control valves. All of these factors must be considered, and attention should be paid to the physical and chemical characteristics of the measured liquid for different types of level meters.
Thus, after analyzing the process requirements, the selection of level meters for wastewater treatment becomes particularly important. The Shenyang Wastewater Treatment Plant found the selection recommendations proposed by our technical department engineers to be reasonable and suitable, leading to a long-term cooperative relationship.
